The law firm Beachcroft is to take over the clinical negligence team at Eversheds in Leeds.
It will also take over Eversheds' team in Newcastle following the announcement of two new offices in both of the cities.
Fee earners and support staff from Eversheds' health advice and injury risk teams have made the move across to Beachcroft also.
The Leeds office will be situated at Fountain House in 11,300 sq ft of office space, which is part of a renovated "1930's style" art deco building.
Simon Hodson, Beachcroft's senior partner, commented: "This is an example of Beachcroft's strategic vision for growth, not only nationally but in our key market sectors."
Four partners, six associates, five paralegals, two consultants, 18 solicitors and 14 support staff will take up positions in the Yorkshire and Newcastle offices.
Earlier this month, Beachcroft's Leeds projects team was chosen to advise Halton Borough Council on its Building Schools for the Future project.
